‘Inverted’ is an ongoing experimental project that interrogates the reality of initial perceptions of beauty and value. This series explores the potential of rejected photographs, which often outnumber those initially deemed successful. By focusing on these discarded images, the project embraces unrestrained experimentation, utilizing abstractions, post-editing techniques, and the inversion of white and colour balances. This approach often yields images of greater aesthetic appeal than the conventionally favoured selections, challenging preconceived notions of photographic success.
